THE GASLIGHT ANTHEM, LIVE!

Posted on December 3rd, 2008 by ekko

The Gaslight Anthem’s “59 Sound” is the sixth-best album of the year this year, as you’ll see when I publish my list (I’m still working on the bottom 10). But in anticipation and celebration, here’s a fantastic, high-quality live show from August. They do mostly the new album, and throw in a few covers and songs from their first release as well.

Tastes and a zip. Enjoy.

  1. This set is great. The Joe Strummer tribute with the Stand By Me intro is particularly sweet.

  2. Thanks for posting this. The ’59 Sound is one of the three that will be on my list.

  3. Thanks for this post! I just discovered this band, and I am kicking myself for missing their show in the area a couple months ago. It’s nice to have an idea of what I can look forward to when I finally do hear ‘em.
