SAY HI-”Oohs and Aahs”

Part Kinks, part Voxtrot, part Gary Numan, and even part U2, Say Hi’s new album, “Oohs & Aahs,” is great little lo-fi pop record written and recorded by Eric Elbogen in his apartment. On his Mac. It’s a lot of fun, full of hooks and fast beats. Especially of note is “Oh Oh Oh Oh Oh Oh Oh Oh,” with some rad horn work and a riff that will stay in your head for days.

Yeah, this is the band that used to be Say Hi To Your Mom, but the band is much improved, and much matured, since those days. Trust me, check ‘em out. This is a truly fantastic pop album–one of the best I’ve heard this year.
