Today is the last day of my vacation–I leave the beach tomorrow, which means that I can start writing new reviews again (beach=limited wifi)–so I’m throwing up to final leech links. These two mixtapes are from Stratela, and I haven’t heard either of them yet but they look good.

The first is the new Nicki Minaj. I’ve posted on Lil’ Wayne’s version of Lil’ Kim here a few times before, and nobody ever gave any love, but I’m still diggin’ her flow. Sure, she’s a reverse-misogynist, but if you don’t take your rap too seriously (and when it comes to Mr. Carter, how can you?) then you should be digging her. Plus, it’s DJ Drama, so other than the annoying shout-outs you pretty much know this will be a HQ mixtape

The second one is another DJ Drama production designed to offend. I’m printing the tracklist so you know exactly what you are getting here. Like I said, I haven’t heard it yet, but I can tell there’s some anti-gay stuff here–specifically, a few things Kanye himself has recanted–but I also see Dave Chappelle’s “Piss On You” and CB4”s “Locash,” two of the funniest hip hop satires I’ve ever heard.
