THE TOP 40 T.V. THEMES EVER–#21: WONDER WOMAN

Posted on August 15th, 2009 by ekko

Most of us just watched this to see Linda Carter run around in that outfit, but the lyrics to this theme are sooooo ’80s. “In your satin tights/Fighting for your rights/And the old red white and blue!” Women’s Lib is really just an excuse to wear satin and run like a girl (see below). And who performed it? The New World Symphony. Can’t make this stuff up.

And no post on Wonder Woman would be complete without the spin transformation . . .

OOOH!  WE’RE ABOUT TO HIT THE TOP 20!  I CAN’T WAIT!

  1. Have you heard the Tricky track that samples this theme song? Just a little bit money.

And why is WW chasing that scientist through a pot garden? That’s just weird.
