I did write about Astonishing X-Men a while back, but Joss hasn't written for it in years. His run, recently collected in an omnibus, is the best X-Men run in history, hands down.

If you were one of the lucky ones who stayed past the credits and got to see one of the alternate endings, you saw that Deadpool was not dead. Severing the man's head can't kill him--he has the same healing powers as Wolverine. This is actually true to the comic.

How are they gonna pull off a Deadpool movie when they killed him off in Wolverine?

Or are they retconning the whole Weapon XI thing?

So, my mans, I will say that this is a sexy list of comic news that caught me up with some things that I've been missing, and informed me on some progress.

I'll note that I'd like to hear some more on:

-Punisher MAX(which I think is a great direction with the character, and virtually the only manifestation of Castle that I can stomach)

-Astonishing X-Men(Joss Wheton, who writes as well as he directs, I feel)

-New X-Men

I will finally say that New Avengers was hot. I'm not an issue-reader. I just buy trades, so I actually don't feel the effect of the issue prices as much nor do I notice the rate of issue, but I will say at least for that series that it was worth it. Bendis is a beast.

Keep hitting me with this fun news!

P.S.-I can't get over Nick Cage in GR...I hope that I can deal before the sequel drops.
