Everything the man did up through his first album, Food & Liquor, was brilliant. He recently leaked a few cuts from his coming record, which he promised would be his last record. I like the Hendrix sample, but the actual rapping? It’s good, but not great.
Especially when you compare it to his FnF mixtapes like Revenge of the Nerds, or his work on Touch the Sky.
Still, it does sound better than what he dropped on “The Cool,” his last official album.
Superstar Lupe and Matthew Santos (live)
I figure with all the great free music he’s given us, we owe it to him to buy his new one when it drops.

His upcoming album is not his last album, originally it was going to be LupEND and feature more than one disc but he changed plans a while back. you can check wikipedia for a more in depth re-up.
