This Magic Moment, while certainly indentifiable with Jay & The Americans (whom I saw once in concert when Becker & Fagan were in the band and have the autograph to prove it)was also done originally by The Drifters on Atlantic Records…also a great version and certainly while not a big hit, is what inspired Jay & The Boys.

Saw the Jimmy Fallon cover, and couldn’t believe how spot on he was. It’s a miracle Fallon wasn’t giggling through the song.

Sorry to be responding only because you asked…I’m sure I’m guilty of NOT making an effort sometimes to comment althyough I do it quite a lot other places. Your postings (which I subscribe to) have led me to some really great sites and i have downloaded MANY of the pictures you have posted for my own collection and music, too. Please accept this one’s apologoies for not having expressed my appreciation before. I do appreciate the time and effort you exert. I’d better as I am ramping up to do it myself.
